What was the highlight of Diverhotel Dino Marbella
A great base if you are staying in the themed rooms. Fantastic for kids/dinosaur fans
Location great- a short walk to the beach. We stayed in a themed room as we felt the standard was better than the main hotel- even though we didn't travel with children and aren't dinosaur fanatics! Great value for money as we only used the hotel to sleep at.
Main hotel rooms extremely dated- i wouldn't recommend staying there. The pool was also hard to find. Very child friendly hotel so avoid if you don't like noise. Great sister hotel opposite.

The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good in terms of having a local bakery/cafe, supermarket and petrol station within 2 minutes walk.
The WiFi was awful and the tv was very old. ***Specific to my room*** There were only 3 single power sockets in my room (which is meant to sleep 3 people) one of which was occupied by the tv-the other one was in the bathroom?? and one half way up the wall, where the light switch was-really odd positions, making it difficult to charge phones whilst using the iron, for example.

What was the highlight of Diverhotel Dino Marbella
Okay for a short stay to use as base.
We went there first because we saw it was near a beach we wanted to stay at for two days and there aren't many hotels/hostals in that area, asked at the reception and they said they have only superior rooms for 540€ for 3 nights... go figure... in a 3-*** hotel. But then booked with Booking.com for 226€ instead, went in again, and were offered an upgrade to a superior room with terrace (which a standard room doesn't have) and sea view for 30€ a night, ending up with 318€ instead of 540€, which we accepted. Turned out that was a good choice (see below) and sea view was really sea view. We used the room just as a base, going elsewhere during the days and evenings and for that it was ok. I didn't expect much else. Didn't have to buy hotel parking as there was public parking on the street available. Probably depends on season and weekend vs non-weekend.
The "restaurant" is a medium joke, more a feeding hall, but okay for some meal after a long day travelling if you're tired and don't want to go elsewhere anymore. Don't try what they call wine even when (or especially because) it's included (19€ per person). Only plastic cups as well for a self-drawn beer. Though there are plenty of good places at or near the beach, we visited all the other evenings. Also be prepared to run into some "animation show" in the evening. Overall quite noisy place down at the hall, but then again it seems to be a family resort (dinosaur theme park) and I'd not recommend the hotel or surroundings for anything else unless you take a family vacation or just want to enjoy the (quite crowded from another 4-**** hotel) beach (walk 10 minutes to the East and it's much nicer there) and don't care about the hotel offerings. Glad we didn't have a non-superior standard room to the dark backyard with a noisy generator running all day and night. Staff at the reception when checking in seemed to be more eager to sell an upgrade (accompanied by a VIP club membership for that hotel brand) than explaining things, indifferent but not unfriendly. Might be due to a language barrier. At least the lady's English was better than my Spanish ... Room facilities are almost adequate for a 3-*** hotel, but a bit austere. I wouldn't call that a superior room, but then again it's certainly superior to the standard rooms...

The room was very basic nothing really in it, there was a very bad sewredge smell the minute you turned on the water in the sink which made the whole room very smelly. Also before our stay I emailed the hotel to see was there a kettle in the room and was told every room has one as I have a 4month old baby that I needed to make bottles for, to my surprise when I arrived I was told it was only in superior rooms and if I wanted to get some hot water I can walk down to the restaurant which was at least a 5 minute walk from the building they put us in, so I was expected to walk down the road in the middle of the night with a baby for some hot water. After an argument with the receptionist I was given a kettle almost 2 days into our trip. Won't not recommend staying here
